St Georges Day Celebrations in Pinner
Thousands attended the annual celebrations. New owner of Friends Restaurant Faisel and his team set the tone for the entire afternoon by dressing up in traditional costumes.
Pinner Rotary Club organised the event which was sponsored by Gibbs Gillespie. Various community organsations were represented including Ruislip Lions Club, Friends of Pinner Village Gardens, and The Heath Robinson Museum Trust.
The highlight of the afternoon was the traditional Wheelbarrow race which was won by The Queens Head. Full picture report to follow..

Chatty Cafe Scheme launched in Pinner
A Pinner delicatessen, Carpentier & Co at 26 High Street has recently joined the national Chatty Cafe Scheme after being contacted by a local Councillor.
Owner Harriet Carpentier said one of my regular customers Councillor Norman Stevenson asked me one day if I’d be interested to join this scheme which he had seen mentioned on TV.

Possible Solution to Pinner Green Parking Problems
Montesoles Recreation Ground Pinner Green has a massive Coach car park created for the Pinner Wood School temporary relocation. The cricket pitch does need proper reinstatement but a very small part of the coach park hard standing could be retained to form a proper car park badly needed for local shops restaurants? However the issue needs to be discussed fully with the residents of the area.
Pinner High School take over whole site
The school has been busy over the holidays putting up new boards including one that depicts Sir Roger Bannister, plus redecoration and the school now occupies the whole site!
