Pinner Association AGM Standing Room OnlyThe
84th AGM and Open Meeting of The
Pinner Association was held on
Wednesday 20th April 2016 in the
Pinner Village Hall. It was extremely well attended with standing room only. There was an attentive audience for the presentation on “The Future of Pinner” made by Michael Lockwood, Chief Executive of Harrow Council. This was followed by an “Open Forum” where
Mr Lockwood was then questioned on many topics of concern in Pinner, including the proposed redevelopment of the Waxwell Lane car park, the length of time to get new bins, the number of new flats being constructed leading to Pinner becoming a dormitory town, the resultant strain on the local infrastructure, and the continuing uncertainty for Pinner Park Farm and the Harrow Arts Centre. He answered many of the questions but promised to get back with answers to those which required investigation. A full report will follow.
