Pinner Association Band Concerts
On four successive Sundays in July and August The Pinner Association once again organised free open air Band Concerts in Pinner Memorial Park. Each attended by several hundred people, who took advantage of the delightful venue and the felicitous weather to picnic, enjoy the music and spend a thoroughly pleasant afternoon, these concerts are sponsored by The Pinner Association principally for the benefit of Pinner residents. 

Although not publicised outside the immediate area they now attract an audience from many miles around: Watford, Rickmansworth, Bushey, Stanmore, etc  and even abroad : one lady who had known Pinner in her youth was visiting from Switzerland and seized the opportunity to re=familiarise herself with the park.

The four bands that played: Grimsdyke Brass, Fats Rollini Jazz & Blues; Harrow Concert Band and The Stardust Big Band all played with gusto and skill, to the delight of the appreciative audience.

Just one more example of The Pinner Association’s efforts to make Pinner a special place in which to live.
