| William Heath Robinson was an important English Cartoonist & Illustrator who also became a household word, "Heath Robinson" as a result of his fanciful and intricate drawings of impractical creations. He lived in Pinner for a substantial period of time.
West House is an imposing residence situated in the most attractive Pinner Memorial Park, in the Borough of Harrow. A house has existed there for over 500 years. It was once the home of the grandson of Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton. Sadly having fallen into disrepair in the 1990's, it is currently being restored by The West House & Heath Robinson Museum Trust. The intention is to provide a museum to house works by Heath Robinson and to create an International standard Art Gallery with other amenities. Work has started in earnest and the main building is being made weatherproof. The Trust is now urgently looking for further donations to complete the project and for subsequent maintenance. |
