Charity Boat Party
7 June 2008. Charity event  organised by Pinner resident Candy and Steve for the 7th June 2008 in aid of the Keech Cottage Children's Hospice. This Hospice provides specialist palliative care for children with terminal or life-limiting conditions and is very close to their hearts. They have arranged a boat party for 270 people to raise as many funds as they can for this amazing facility. They explain it should be a great event on board the Dixie Queen (paddle steamer), with a 9 piece Cuban Band and James and Ola Jordan - stars of Strictly Come Dancing plus champagne reception and a dinner. Tower Bridge will also open for the boat to pass through so it's going to be quite special! They tell us it would be really great if you could come along and support them by making this a sell out event. Just book yourself or make up a table! Tables are usually for 6 or 10 people. Tickets are £75 a head - let them know if you would like to attend within the next couple of weeks. It is for a great cause and they confirm it will be a night to remember. If you unable to join them for whatever reason, it would be wonderful if you could tell anybody who you think may be interested. Pinner and Local Artists Harrow Open Studios Weekend
Friday 13th June 6.00 - 9.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th June 11.00 - 6.00pm and Monday 16th June 11.00 - 1.00pm. Harrow Open Studios is a new way to see art in Harrow. Artists resident in Harrow, Harrow Weald, Hatch End, Ruislip, Pinner and the surrounding areas are opening their homes or studios to the public over the weekend.
