The Countdown begins!Just under 5 weeks to go and everything’s live. Sam Harvey has done a great job on revamping our website and we are very grateful to her. Go now to
www.pinnerartsweek.com to take a look.
The programme is printed and, so far, with help from many others, we have distributed about 3,000. Only another 7,000 to go. If you are able to help us by doing your road, do please get in touch with us either at
info@pinnerartsweek.com or on
07775 626624. We want to cover as much of
Pinner, Northwood, Eastcote and Ruislip as we can and are happy to drop a bundle round to you. If you belong to any group, society or place of worship and can share the programme there, this would also help tremendously. We also have a few stands to display the programmes, if that’s useful.
OnlineFor the first time, we are selling tickets online, using the new Heath Robinson Museum site. If you want to book this way, you can go via our site or just go to
heathrobinsonmuseum.org and click on Tickets, then
Pinner Arts Week. Or you can use the email or phone given above. We have already sold tickets for nearly every chargeable event.
We will be working hard over the next few weeks on
Facebook and
Twitter to generate interest. Do please follow us and retweet where you can. And do promote your events as hard as you can. As the great Tom Peters put it, ‘If it isn’t communicated, it doesn’t exist’.
EventsWe have some great event makers working with us, helping people to put together events. Take a look at
www.pinnerartsweek.com/news to find out more about them.
As before, nearly all of the participants are from
Pinner and the surrounding area. These include several well-known names such as Radio 4’s
Ritula Shah and Diana Speed and comedian
Lucy Porter, familiar to many from TV and radio.
One visiting team are
All the King’s Men, international award-winning a
cappella group, based at
King’s College, London. Ruislip-based Capital Connection, an all-female harmony chorus, who are consistently placed in the top 10 female barbershop choruses in the country, will support them. (
Friday, 23 Sept at 7.45 at Pinner Parish Church, Church Lane)This,
The Big Comedy Night and the great
Soul Night on

‘big ticket’ events, where the hire of venue and performers is quite steep, so do come long if you can and encourage your friends. And be sure to look in at the
Artisans’ Fair on Sat, Oct 1, 10.30 – 4.30, at the Village Hall in the Chapel Lane car park. And so much more.
All ages can sing together, draw together or aim to make the longest giraffe neck ever. You can line dance, ballroom dance as well as rocking on down to our live soul band. You can meet the artists and performers close up. You can …. well, just read this programme at
