The Beardsley Generation - Currently running
This exhibition explores how at the end of the 19th century, after a period of dull realism the new artists looked for inspiration to the last time there had been intensity and emotion in illustration.  This led them to the work of illustrators such as Rossetti, Millais and Boyd Houghton, to Japanese woodblock prints and Symbolist painters such as Gustav Moreau. The exhibition runs until Sunday, 19 May 2019.  The Museum is open Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm.  The Museum will also be open on Easter Bank Holiday Monday
