The Beardsley Generation - Currently runningThis exhibition explores how at the end of the 19th century, after a period of dull realism the new artists looked for inspiration to the last time there had been intensity and emotion in illustration. This led them to the work of illustrators such as Rossetti, Millais and Boyd Houghton, to Japanese woodblock prints and Symbolist painters such as Gustav Moreau. More information
