Pinner Writers Group

Pinner Writers’ Group invites aspiring writers and published  authors to join them. This equal opportunities group meets in Pinner Library every last Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 7.45pm (except in August and Bank Holidays). Other meetings and events are organised monthly for those attending regularly.
Most meetings begin with an activity to inspire, followed by a sharing of members’ work-in-progress. No one however, is obliged to read out their work.  From time to time guest authors are invited and we encourage our members to perform at events such as ‘Speak Your Mind’ as well as those we organise. Individual Focus sessions by arrangement are also on offer.
Therefore it doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner, a published author or simply enjoy writing, you will be made most welcome. You will be given the opportunity to improve your writing skills as well as being able to receive feedback to your own original writing of any genre.  If you are over 16 and would like to give us a try, why not come along? There is a small charge of £1 a session.

The group is led by Barbara Towell.  Barbara is an English teacher and author of the Amazon 5* customer review novel ‘A little Piece for Mother’ , ‘Patchworks’  - her poetry anthology,  co-writer of the musical ‘Faith is the Key’ and  she has had a number of articles published in national magazines.
