St Luke’s Hospice is an independent charity serving the multi-cultural boroughs of Harrow and Brent. Unique in the area, St. Luke’s provides all its services for free and with limited government funding (we receive less than 1/3 our funding from the NHS) and an increasing demand for our services, we rely heavily on our community to ensure that our work can continue.

Our aim is to provide specialist palliative care for any person with advanced, progressive illnesses. St. Luke’s addresses the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients, but also places huge importance on supporting the family. We focus not only on providing symptom control and the highest standards of medical care, but also providing a true quality of life for the patient and their families and friends. This care is possible through our Day Care Unit, In Patient Unit, Community team, Medical Outpatients, Family Support Services, Complementary and Physiotherapies, Spiritual Care and through our continued work on nursing training and education.

At a time when our community needs our services more and more, our partnerships with individuals, schools, businesses, community and faith groups and so on become increasingly important. St. Luke’s was established to support its community and it relies on that community to ensure that its services can continue.
