Band Concert Cancelled
Band Concert Audience

The final Pinner Association Band Concert scheduled for this Sunday  has been cancelled. The RAF Band were scheduled to appear in the Pinner Memorial Park. A statement from the Pinner Associations website This morning (Thurs) stated that "We regret that owing to circumstances beyond our control the Band Concert planned for Sunday 23rd August has been cancelled." The concerts have allowed the Association to raise much need funds for the West House project.....We will bring you more news when we have it.

Grymsdyke Brass entertain in Pinner Memorial Park

Grymsdyke Brass entertained over 1000 people in the the Memorial Park last Sunday  (9th August)  the Pinner Association hosted the concert were all proceeds will be used towards the further development of the West House Project. Last weeks concert at which the Perry Parsons Band entertained rasied over £600 in voluntary contributions.

Fats Rollini's Jazz and Blues Band

The Pinner Asscoiation Band concert to raise funds for the West House project went ahead yesterday despite Licensing issues with the Local AuthorityAfter cancelling the British Airways Band deperate attempts were made to find a replacment band. The Fats Rolini's stepped in at the last minute. The audience feeback was that the Jazz Band was a pleasant and enjoyable change to the normal Sunday afternoon Band Concerts. Fats Rolini's Jazz and Blues Band have thier own concert at the Village Hall in September

Pinner Sketch Club's 67th Annual Exhibition

Over 200 people attended the launch event at Pinner Parish Church on Friday.The winner Lorraine Edwards is seen here receiving the Kenneth Grimmett award from Patrick Cullen NEAC. The winner of the "Voters Choice" will be revealed at the conclusion of the exhibition in 2 weeks time. Residents of Barrow Point Avenue raise funds for West House
Barrow Point Avenue
Enthusiastic residents of Barrow Point Avenue demonstrated their community spirit recently by raising £1,000 to help the West House Project. Their spokesperson Mrs Gomez Del Olmo said “The group had unexpectedly reached thier target today (Thurs) through the generosity of a number of local residents, which has resulted in the membership of the West House & Heath Robinson Thousand Club”
The idea of raising funds for the project was conceived some 3 years ago. Residents organized 3 street parties with a range of novel fund raising activities. 
Mrs Gomez Del Olmo added 'The Committee of the West House and Heath Robinson Museum Trust are putting a huge personal effort into this project and hopes readers will contribute generously to enable an early completion. More information on the West House Project

The first summer Pinner Association Band Concert took place in Pinner Memorial Park on Sunday. 2 August  The Associations tireless work has allowed the continuance of the  West House project which is anticipated to complete in May of next year. The first band this year was the Perry Parsons Big Band who come from the surrounding area......Picture Report
