You’re Hired – TV star comes to Easyspace Pinner to promote apprenticeships

One of the stars of this year’s hit TV series The Apprentice came to Pinner in July  to share behind the scenes secrets of the programme which sees Lord Alan Sugar judge young entrepreneurs.

Contestant Stephen Brady, 33, got through to the final six of the show and held a question and answer session at Evans House, In Marsh Road. His appearance was linked to a presentation by Sangeeta Meghji from Skills Training UK promoting the importance of small and medium business taking young people on as apprentices.

Stephen said: “The show was an incredible experience for me. I learned a hell of a lot about myself and about business. It was six weeks of constant pressure and when Lord Sugar fired me there was a slight feeling of relief. I’m still in daily contact with the other contestants and loved my time on the show. For every hour shown on TV – 900 hours were actually filmed so that gives you an idea of how much editing is done.”

Maria West, Centre Manager of Evans Easyspace, Evans House, Pinner’s premier serviced offices, said: “The event went brilliantly and both Stephen and Sangeeta were fantastic speakers.
