Queens Head hosting Beer Festival

Queens Head to host Beer Festival
A pub which has been at the heart of Pinner since 1540 is celebrating the completion of a £50,000 refurbishment by hosting a beer festival this month.
The Queen’s Head in the High Street will host the Greene King Celebration Beer Festival starting on Tuesday 26th January.
Its landlord, Sean White, explained more: “Over the course of the last 12 months or so we have replaced carpets, upholstery, toilets and a lot more at the pub without taking away anything from its original splendour.
“Holding the beer festival with our friends at Greene King seemed a perfect way to mark what’s been a lot of hard work. I’ll certainly be raising a glass to thank the people who did the work and our customers for supporting us throughout. We’ll be offering something called a ‘flight’ which gives people the chance to sample three thirds of a pint of different ales for the price of a pint.”
The festival features 11 ales from Greene King and the pub have teamed up with another local business to hold a traditional pie evening on Thursday 28th January.
Sean continued: “We’ve joined forces with local Pinner butchers, Hiltons, and on the evening pie samples will be available at the pub.
“We’re delighted to be working with Hilton’s who are a well respected and popular local business. And it’s important for us to be supporting businesses within our local community.
Guest ales include St Edmunds Ale, London’s Glory and Yardbird along with eight others.”
