Cancer UK Pinner Fund Raiser

Cancer Research UK’s Pinner Shop in Bridge Street held a Fun Day on Saturday 21st January to introduce their new Gift Aid Scheme. By signing up, tax payers who make donations to Cancer Research, either cash or goods, enable the Charity to claw back an extra 25% of the value of the donation from the taxman, thus boosting their receipts.
Volunteers gave their services to make the day a success and entertainment included a morning of live swing music provided by Callum and Theo Lury on keyboard and drums (see photo), Face Painting, Tombola, Fancy Dress and Lucky Dips. A number of people were interested in signing up and, in addition, several cash donations were received from generous supporters.

Pinner Local says thank you to them in return for providing the highest standard of service right until the restaurant closure. In fact Geoff the webmaster and myself both enjoyed a Christmas Day meal there for the last time last year. |
