Club Chairman going to jail

Club Chairman going to jail
The Chairman of the Pinner and Northwood Business Club, Les Conway, is being thrown in prison on Friday.
However, his time ‘inside’ is all for a worthy cause as it is part of St Luke’s Hospice  Jail and Bail 2016 which is taking place at Pinner Police Station on Bridge Street on March 11th.
The fundraiser sees well known local people thrown in jail and only released when bail of £1000 is raised.
Previous prisoners include former Mayors of Harrow as well as councillors, religious leaders and other popular community figures.
Les said: “I can categorically say this will be my first time in a prison cell and I’m hoping my last!
“Joking aside it’s for a fabulous cause and I’m glad that I am taking part on behalf of the Pinner and Northwood Business Club. I’m hoping my friends in the community will dig deep and get me out of there as fast possible.”
St Luke's Hospice is based in Kenton and cares for people across Harrow and Brent whose illnesses are no longer curable.
Its aim is to add life to days, even though days can't be added to life.
