Heath Robinson at War - Special Exhibition

Heath Robinson at War - Special Exhibition
Heath Robinson at War: Special Exhibition running until 8 January 2017:
Exploring how Heath Robinson lifted morale at home and among servicemen during two World Wars with his gentle satire, empathy and enhanced sense of the absurd.
This exhibition is is curated by Geoffrey Beare, Heath Robinson Museum Collection Manager and is sponsored by O’Hara Surfacing Ltd.
Geoffrey Beare says “I take great pleasure in welcoming visitors to this first special exhibition in the Joan Brinsmead gallery. The theme of Heath Robinson at War was chosen because the opening coincides with the 100th anniversary of the battle of the Somme and because West House is a war memorial, but most importantly to celebrate the enormous contribution that Heath Robinson made to the maintenance of morale, for both servicemen and civilians, in two world wars.”

The museum is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but hopefully these reduced opening times will be short lived. The website will give further details of opening times www.heathrobinsonmuseum.org
