We have Chess, Backgammon, Draughts, Scrabble, Monopoly, Cluedo, Cards and a whole host of other games for you to borrow and while away the evening in the comfort of your local pub.

Sarah Drakard started the Pinner Women In Business Network in 2014 and it grew to a huge group of supportive inspirational businesses who still pass her business now and vice versa. They meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Whittington Pinner It's fairly informal networking - arrive, join us, order drinks and get chatting. About half way through they do a quick 1 minute intro so everyone gets to hear from everyone. Sarah brings her toddler to each meeting so you're very welcome to bring children or babies if you haven't got childcare or just fancy bringing them! The whole point is they are a group of women who understand the unique pressures women face in business and try to come together to support each other grow their businesses. They have a wide variety of businesses that attend and anyone is welcome!

The Music in Pinner Series 26–27 will be the final series, for the time being, as I shall step down as Director after the season. We present six concerts, with great variety of styles and genres, from October to March, at Pinner Parish Church (except January, which is at Pinner United Synagogue).

Concerts in October, November & March will be in the Evenings at 7.30pm, and in January at 8.00pm.

We shall hold December and February concerts at lunchtime, 1.00pm.

The Society continues to provide a public amenity in Roxbourne Park, Eastcote by running passenger services every Sunday afternoon  throughout the summer months. On Wednesday afternoons senior members gather for non-public running to reminisce and try out their new, or recently repaired, models. This group also find time to provide “Educational” visits for local schoolchildren. Usually this involves a short talk on the history of railways followed by free rides on the trains.

30 Oct Annesley Abercorn is running a free careers workshop for young people aged 16-25 on the last Friday of every month at the Three Wishes pub in Pinner.

Major new exhibition by international artist Michael Petry

Heath Robinson Museum is delighted to announce The Genie and other stories, an important new exhibition

by acclaimed artist Michael Petry, marking the launch of a new programme of contemporary artist commissions

that invites fresh perspectives on the museum’s collection.

For this commission, Petry has responded to Heath Robinson’s illustrations for The Arabian Nights, with a

particular focus on the story of Aladdin, alongside other tales and characters illustrated by Robinson. Through

this exciting new body of work, Petry explores themes of identity, fantasy, transformation and the Other,

examining how images shape our understanding of difference, desire and the unfamiliar.
