With summer fast approaching Cafe Cocoa have just installed a new ice cream machine. Reasonably priced and really delicious ice cream it is too just what was needed in Marsh Road. Cafe Cocoa is a real internet cafe too where you can use their PC's or log on with your laptop for a reasonable fee.

Pinner Fair Gets go ahead

We understand from the Pinner Association that the Pinner Fair will go ahead again this year. The Showmans Guild run it and received some financial support last year from the Council. It now appears that the financial difficulties have been resolved. The Fair is controversial as it is enjoyed by young people but does cause major disruption in the village and many shops have to close on the day. More details on our special page when we have them

The evening of the 22 April saw a packed audience of over 150 local residents in Pinner Village Hall. An award was made to Mr Martin Verden for service to the community by the Mayor of Harrow. James Kincaid was warmly thanked for his three years hard work as President of the Association. The new Chairman Bill Dedman was unanimously voted in. Guest speaker : Dr Amol Klshiker gave his eargely awaited talk on on "Pinner's new Health Centre". This was followed by a wide ranging open forum.
