Heath, Beauty and Fitness professionals in the local area, then I am Looking is where you should be looking. It was conceived more than two years ago, as Justine was frustrated at the lack of sport and fitness classes, local to her, being advertised online. At the time she was briefly a beauty therapist working from home (between looking after two young children). Justine often found it hard to market and promote her business, cheaply. Eventually, she had a eureka moment and following some lengthy local research found that there were plenty of health, beauty and fitness professionals looking for a new outlet to advertise their business which led to the creation of I am Looking

Guess the mileage
Guessing the Mileage. A vintage 1930s MG, lovingly rebuilt by chartered surveyor Andrew Pearce, attracted lots of attention at the Summer Fair for Cannon Lane First and Middle Schools on 11 June – and not just from people entering the ‘Guess the Mileage’ competition. A Mr Alder, who lives nearby in North Harrow, won a luxury John Lewis hamper with his guess. The actual mileage on the MG was 7,411; that’s a lower mileage than the majority of car owners clock up in a year these days! All the main community events organised by The Friends of Cannon Lane School (FCLS) are sponsored by Pinner estate agency Andrew Pearce Property Consultant.

Local financial advisor and football coach organises fashion show for charity
Local financial advisor and football coach organises fashion show for charity 'Pinner resident, Les Conway, has been a financial advisor for over 20 years and last year set up his own practice - Essentially Financial - based in Marsh Road, Pinner. Les has clear ideas about the financial planning process and where the value lies, both to his clients and in building his business. These were the fundamental drivers behind his company which utilises the strapline: ‘Essentially Financial, providing planning for life'. Les set up Essentially Financial with the aim of guiding his clients along their journey as their financial partner. His clients tend to be business and professional people along with those approaching or in retirement. All of them want straightforward and concise advice with respect to their financial planning and, at Essentially Financial, he focuses on providing them with proactive support and solutions to enable them to realise their long-term objectives. His extensive knowledge and many years of experience provide his clients with the security and knowledge that they are always heading in the right direction. In his spare time, Les is passionate about grassroots youth football and 2½ years ago set up with his partner, former professional Phil Gridelet, Elite Soccer Academy which is based in North West London/West Hertfordshire. The Academy specialises in developing young players beyond the usual confines of the grassroots game.
It works hand in hand with a local club for which Les is Chairman as well as a Trustee. His dedication, hard work and professionalism have been instrumental in helping both focus on progression, enhancement and growth to increase participation at all levels. The club has been celebrating its 25th anniversary and on Sunday 11th September will host a fantastic fashion show, buffet supper and auction. The event will showcase the incredible designs of locally based James Lakeland and will take place at Pinner Synagogue, 1 Cecil Park, Pinner, Middlesex HA5 5HJ. There will be a reception at 6.45pm with the fashion show commencing at 7.30pm. Most importantly, all proceeds from the event will be donated to a very worthwhile charity – Meir Panim - whose aims are to eliminate poverty in Israel for children and Holocaust victims and their families. If you would like to buy tickets or support the event by taking space in the souvenir brochure, please contact the event organiser Stan Conway, on: 0208 429 2867 or e-mail: stanconway@tiscali.co.uk. Joe’s happy schooldays trigger financial support for Cannon Lane Schools
Joe’s happy schooldays trigger financial support for Cannon Lane Schools. Pinner estate agency Andrew Pearce Property Consultants is to sponsor the main community events organised by The Friends of Cannon Lane School (FCLS), ensuring long -term financial support for the fundraising activities of Cannon Lane First and Middle Schools in Pinner. The agreement was finalised this week between Dr Reena Keeble, headteacher at Cannon Lane First School, and Joe Prosser, residential business manager for Andrew Pearce and a former Cannon Lane pupil. The sponsorship will include funding for a range of activities to help make the events a success, including printing the programmes, erecting up to 30 boards throughout Pinner and donating competition prizes. Dr Keeble said, “We have a wonderful Friends committee and team of supporters who work very hard to organise fundraising events throughout the school year. The generous sponsorship offered by Joe and Andrew will give our community events a more secure footing and takes away the uncertainty of whether we can afford to hold them in future. They are expensive to organise and promote, but now all of the money we raise will go towards enhancing the learning experience for Cannon Lane pupils.” Preparations are being finalised for this year’s Summer Fair on Saturday 11th June and one of the highlights will be a ‘Guess the Mileage’ competition. Proprietor and chartered surveyor Andrew Pearce is going to bring along his vintage 1930s MG, which he has rebuilt himself. “I have such fond memories of my schooldays at Cannon Lane, so I’m thrilled to be able to give something back in this way,” said Joe Prosser. “One of the main reasons that families choose to live in Pinner is because of the quality and reputation of our local schools. Andrew and I are looking forward to getting involved in their community events and we’re hoping the vintage car will help to raise a record amount for Cannon Lane School this year.” The Summer Fair takes place on Saturday 11th June between 12 noon and 3pm. Everybody is welcome.
